None of us can erase the sickening mental image of Obama, who was placed in The Oval Office (not voted in but PLACED), employing deep body-bows to Islamic Leaders and the Emperor of Japan, signifying their sovereign superiority. Much ado about something.
In yesterday's paper, July 4th, the Miss Manners column, written by Judith Martin tackles the bowing exhibition in response to a reader's inquiry as to whether an American should bow to the Queen of England. "Is it required?" the reader asks.
We are publishing the entire answer:
"Gentle Reader: Where were you during history class? Never mind. Here is what you missed:
"We Americans fought a revolution against the British crown. As Miss Manners trusts that you will be relieved to hear, we won.
"Therefore, we do not prostrate ourselves before someone who is not our sovereign—just as the British bow to no sovereign but their own. But we do not even bow to our own leaders.
"Although we believe that all human beings are worthy of respect, we do not believe that any one of them is born at a higher level than the rest of us."
That says it all. We defeated Japan in a brutal war, which resulted from their sneak attack on Pearl Harbor, Dec. 7, 1941, killing hundreds of our servicemen and women. They proved to be an extremely cruel race that created hideous torures for prisoners of war. This writer saw photos of some of those victims that my father, a veteran of WW II had.The photos showed Japanese soldiers smiling broadly as their victims suffered unspeakable treatment. Even to think about causing such suffering, and enjoying doing it, puts them in a seperate category of the human race.
To see Obama** bow down to the Japanese Emperor was absolutely sickening, a gesture that not only places the leader of Japan as an equal, but one of superiority over us which is outrageous. See photo of Obama and The Emperor on my blog at: christiancoalition.com on page 15.
Bowing down to foreign leaders, not just a nod of the head, but a deep body-bow to Islamic leaders, who represent those determined to destroy us all, was and is an absolutely unthinkable gesture that shows us as weak and submissive. Miss Manners in her syndicated column hammered the stake correctly. (Didn't want to use the old cliche', 'hitting the nail on the head.' We are original thinkers here.)
This is The United States of America. We are not subservient to anyone! We must have a leader who protects OUR sovereignty, not sell it out by bowing to foreign leaders, symbolically putting us into submission to them.
As for the occupier of The Oval Office, Obama really has his bows in an uproar.
**This column will not refer to Obama as "President Obama" until eligibility requirements are established—not an unreasonable position.
Contributor Jerry Gebrosky sent us this interesting JerryView of the month of July, 2011, with this exciting headline:
"THIS IS THE ONLY TIME WE WILL SEE AND LIVE THIS EVENT!"
"This year," he pens, " July has 5 Fridays, 5 Saturdays and 5 Sundays. This happens once every 823 years. read on!!!
"This year we're going to experience four unusual dates. 1/1/11, 1/11/11, 11/1/11, 11/11/11 and that's not all…
Take the last two digits of the year in which you were born - now add the age you will be this year, The results will be 111 for everyone in whole world."
Does that include New Jersey?
This is something to think about this while sipping morning coffee.
Determine to make this day a GREAT day. It's in your hands.
