Silent Scandal

If a scandal isn't reported by the media, does that mean it never happened?

For the millions of Americans who don't watch Fox News or listen to talk radio, the answer is a resounding yes.

Last Friday, November 20, evidence came to light that "appears to show a conspiracy to falsify data and suppress academic debate in order to exaggerate the possible threat of man-made global warming." Translation: The global warming movement rests almost entirely on the IPCC's claim to represent the "consensus" of climate science. That entire movement now stands discredited.

In the face of this absolutely shameful and possibly criminal revelation of chicanery, deceit and manipulation of data, the mainstream media has stuck to their decades long policy of ignoring any evidence or opinion that challenges their firm belief that the world is undergoing a climate crisis. A crisis that can only be rectified if all global citizens drastically change their behavior.

Despite these revelations, the AP's science writer continued reporting on the worsening climate non-crisis, "Since the 1997 international accord to fight global warming, climate change has worsened and accelerated — beyond some of the grimmest of warnings made back then." Scary stuff, if it were true.

CNN chimed in, reporting their own shocking headlines: Sea Level Rise Could Cost Port Cities $28 Trillion. Remember, this 'news' story was published after evidence had come to light that credibly challenged the very facts CNN was reporting. Yawn.

Six days after this scandal came to light, ABC, CBS, CNN, MSNBC and NBC had yet to make their viewers aware of what is being called "the greatest [scandal] in modern history." A scandal that could derail the whole concept of man-made global warming. And, coincidently, the $129 billion carbon market that rests on this shaky and manipulated data.

Also ignoring this scandal is our very own president, who announced last Wednesday that he will attend the long-anticipated, high-stakes global climate summit in Copenhagen. Obama's climate czar, Carol Browner, announced on the very same day that global warming science is "settled.' No need to even address those pesky e-mails that purport to show differently.

"I'm sticking with the 2,500 scientists. These people have been studying this issue for a very long time and agree this problem is real," said Ms. Browner. The 2,500 hundred scientists, by the way, are comprised mainly of United Nations bureaucrats who have a vested interest in the massive wealth re-distribution that they suggest as a solution to this non-crisis.

On Thursday, more evidence of climate chicanery came to light - but was again ignored by the media. Gerd Leipold, the outgoing leader of Greenpeace, admitted that his organization's recent claim that the Arctic Ice will disappear by 2030 was "a mistake." Oops.

Also on Thursday, information surfaced that indicates Australia, also, appears to have been tinkering with raw data in order to make "global warming' appear scarier that it really is.

Again, no mention was made in the U.S. media. Oh, CNN did finally acknowledged the issue yesterday by reporting that there was "very little context" in the e-mail evidence. CNN declined to publish any of the damning e-mails and they failed to identify any of those 'leading scientists' whose work has been shown to be a possible fraud.

Those 'leading scientists' then continued with business as usual, issuing another dire proclamation, "Tackling climate change will help prevent millions of deaths among people who are alive now and save the world for future generations."

These same scientists then responded to the damning evidence to the contrary in the usual way. By attacking and discrediting the motives of the messenger. "We're facing an effort by special interests who are trying to confuse the public," said Richard Somerville, Distinguished Professor Emeritus at Scripps Institution of Oceanography and a lead author of the UN IPCC Fourth Assessment Report.

As of this writing, Fox News is the only national outlet reporting on this scandal. Website WattsUpWithThat and Canada Free Press appear to be the only media investigating the hacked e-mails that seem to show a decades long conspiracy to fudge climate data and squelch any and all opposing data and scientists.

The 'garbage-in, garbage-out' climate models the IPCC use as proof of global warming now appear to be false. Global 'leaders' conveniently ignore the burgeoning scandal and continue to insist that unless a massive re-distribution of global wealth is immediately enacted, global warming will threaten every man woman and child on earth.

Americans can disagree on the extent of climate change and even question man's role in it. The issue at hand however, is the fact that the media, whose job is to report facts, has declined to do so. The media, with Fox News as the only exception, have bought into Dan Rather's "fake but accurate" view of the so-called 'global-warming' crisis.

Father Earth, Algore sums it up best: “This is not a political issue, or a scientific issue or a psychological issue – it’s a moral issue. If anything it’s actually a spiritual issue.” There you have it. If you don't agree with the unscientific 'consensus' than you're a really stupid, bad and immoral person. The left has spoken and the media agrees. Case closed.

Van Rompuy, Obama - Is it Change or Chains

No doubt the plight of homosexuals is on the top of the list of social problems perceived in the EU

The EU has confirmed Herman Van Rompuy as the first permanent President of the emerging United States of Europe. He has clearly stated that the first order of business for the EU will be to solidify the economy and answer the social changes the 47 member states are facing.

No doubt the plight of homosexuals is on the top of the list of social problems perceived in the EU because this week a meeting is taking place in Europe to address the fact that not everyone is getting onboard with the gay agenda. Homophobia, transphobia and other forms of sexual orientation discrimination is said to still exist in the EU on a larger scale than the Union wants to see.

Some sixty countries around the world are not on the same page as the EU including Catholics across the globe that are lead and or tutored by the Pope. Some countries not only don’t think it is a big issue but they would prefer not to promote the gay lifestyle in any way. While they are generally disregarded by most members of the G-20 they nevertheless are not moved by the EU concerns or the recent vote at the UN General Assembly by some 66 countries. The world is clearly split over these kinds of social concerns.

President Obama is firmly committed to the homosexual agenda and recent promises made to the LBGT and others have caused some in the conservative movement and the evangelical and Pentecostal churches to shudder. It is also clear that the church’s concerns have little bearing on the President’s position to throw the doors open for the gay agenda by closing the steel doors around those who make so much as a whimper against the gays. Signing the untested and highly suspect Matthew Shepard act is the latest evidence of that.

Religious freedoms and the gay agenda are on a collision course in America and this is a speeding train no mere mortal can stop.

The test will be based on whether gospel preachers, ministers, evangelists and teachers will be able to say what the Bible clearly says without being fined or imprisoned. If they are inhibited in any way, then the question becomes constitutional because the congress is bound by that document to refrain from making any laws to inhibit or promote any religion, Christian or otherwise. For the Bible and faith based churches that would spell the end of their faith not just some minor adjustment. The Bible is central to the beliefs of almost all conservative historical protestant denominations and to most of Catholicism as well.

Neither the Pope nor the leaders of most evangelical, independent and Pentecostal churches are going to stand idly by while their churches are wrecked by a social upheaval based on a sexual orientation. Whatever tests must be applied, whatever price must be paid we can be assured it will be paid.

The church could see what was coming early on in the Obama administration when he declared that the passages in the book of Romans (Ro 1:24f) penned by the Apostle Paul were only an obscure passage that needn’t be taken seriously. At that point he was bucking the fact that these passages are at the very heart of the gospel message for almost every bible believing Christian in the world. They are considered reliable and are seen as the edicts of God.

Even as Van Rompuy is proclaiming a newer kinder socially softer Europe and President Obama is promising a happier sexual climate for the orientation-ally confused the church is taking one smack on the jaw! That these portents were predicted, forecast or fully prophesied seems less astounding than the complete aloofness that the new social engineers have about it all.

It’s as if the commonly accepted notion that millions of homosexuals remained closeted until the time was right and the social climate had changed is actually the real answer to the modern rise in homosexual activity. The bible says that it is the rampant immorality that prevails in the last days that draws out every kind of unbridled deviant behavior. Gays in the advanced nations didn’t exist in the millions as they do today in fact there were practically none by comparison only a hundred years ago, but let’s not ask history to back up the bible because that too is being re-written as well by today’s social engineers.

Oddly prophecy doesn’t ever apologize even if some believers are perfectly comfortable with the slide into apostasy and feel the need to condescend to the emerging social tendencies of a world plunging into reprobation. Prophecy just goes on to its final destination which is complete and total fulfillment.

It took almost 40 years for me to finally ascertain the meaning of one prophecy without any doubt to its complete meaning. The passage is found in the book of Daniel. This prophet was contemporary to the weeping prophet Jeremiah and is one of only a very few Old Testament figures Jesus openly commended.

Unlike many of his contemporaries Daniel does have the distinction of having almost all of the major prophecies in his message given to him directly by the angel Gabriel. You will recall that this was the same celestial being that announced the virgin birth to Mary the mother of Jesus Christ.

Daniel had an unusual level of details revealed to him on the social climate and general activities of people in the last days. Daniel was almost 3000 years early with his prophecies but not a minute too late. He saw that knowledge would be increased and that worldwide travel would see men and women traversing the globe in ever burgeoning numbers.

One of the most unusual conditions Daniel describes in the last days speaks of the failure of a modern world to socially engineer a society where everyone is on the same level just because they decide it’s going to be that way. The failure of communism and other playing field levelers will once again be ignored and society will be forced by universally mandated laws and rules to accept all behaviors in all places equally. But sadly in one single declaration the prophet proclaims the utter failure of this attempt.

Describing the nation that was once in the same geographical area as the old Roman Empire being revived in modern times Daniel said “And whereas thou sawest iron mixed with miry clay, they shall mingle themselves with the seed of men: but they shall not cleave one to another, even as iron is not mixed with clay.” (Da 2:43)

Mingling the seed of men has nothing to do with genetic engineering but it refers to social engineering of the sort that forces a one size fits all across the board. That includes religion, race, sexual orientation and every other social aspect of civilian life. It raises a huge question that very few are listening to and very few have answered. Yet, the question and its answer are almost too easy.

The question of whether it works or not is answered with an unequivocal, no. The reasons for its failure are also brutally apparent. “…they shall not cleave to each other” indicates that the human heart is the problem not the social landscape. Here is what the bible says about that inveterate deceiver known as the human heart. “The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it? I the Lord search the heart; I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.” (Jer 17:9-10)

Men have rejected the heart transforming and life changing power of the gospel for 2000 years but man thinks he can legislate and enforce certain social conditions in the last few years of time as we know it and that it will actually work.

Laws will prove quite ineffective to change the narcissistic, self serving stronghold known as the human heart. Only the complete and utter abandonment to the grace of God and a full repentance from a life of sin can do what the evangelists have been calling for since the days of the early church, which is to transform the heart by the renewing of the mind.

Oddly we must return to that book our President described as obscure to discover the key to the whole matter. Once again we hear the apostle Paul say “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” (Romans 12:2)

In the end trying to legislate social behavior will turn out not to be the welcomed change everyone is clamoring for but only a new form of chains no one will be able to live with for very long.

The only question remaining is why would a nation exchange the beautiful ring of freedom for the dreaded clinking of chains and fetters for her once noble citizens? Samuel F. Smith penned the song ‘My Country, ‘Tis of Thee’ in 1831 and in it he called for a sound to come forth from our every mountainside. Is this the day to muffle these chimes and bells for the rattle of chains?

My country, 'tis of thee,
Sweet land of liberty,
Of thee I sing;
Land where my father’s died,
Land of the pilgrims' pride,
From every mountainside
Let freedom ring!

Can a good Muslim be a good American?

I sent that question to a friend who worked in Saudi Arabia for 20 years.

The following is his reply:

Theologically - no. Because his allegiance is to Allah, the moon god of Arabia .

Religiously - no. Because no other religion is accepted by his Allah except Islam.

Scripturally - no. Because his allegiance is to the five pillars of Islam and the Quran (Koran).

Geographically - no. Because his allegiance is to Mecca , to which he turns in prayer five times a day.

Socially - no. Because his allegiance to Islam forbids him to make friends with Christians or Jews.

Politically - no. Because he must submit to the mullah (spiritual leaders), who teach annihilation of Israel and Destruction of America, the great Satan.

Domestically - no. Because he is instructed to marry four women and beat and scourge his wife when she disobeys him.

Intellectually - no. Because he cannot accept the American Constitution since it is based on Biblical principles and he believes the Bible to be corrupt.

Philosophically - no. Because Islam, Muhammad, and the Quran do not allow freedom of religion and expression. Democracy and Islam cannot co-exist. Every Muslim government is either dictatorial or autocratic.

Spiritually - no. Because when we declare "one nation under God," the Christian's God is loving and kind, while Allah is NEVER referred to as heavenly father, nor is he ever called love in The Quran's 99 excellent names.

Therefore after much study and deliberation . . .. perhaps we should be very suspicious of ALL MUSLIMS in this country. They obviously cannot be both "good" Muslims and good Americans.

Call it what you wish . . . it's still the truth.

If you find yourself intellectually in agreement with the above statements, perhaps you will share this with your friends. The more who understand this, the better it will be for our country and our future.

Pass it on Fellow Americans. The religious war is bigger than we know or understand.

The Manhattan Declaration - To Every Thing there is a Season

The Manhattan Declaration is in some ways a declaration of war. It may be a peaceable war fought by peace loving people but it is war nevertheless.

News shows across America showed clips of American Idol star Adam Lambert's overt sexual behavior at the recent American Music Awards. Almost all the clips were preceded with advisories and warnings. When discussed it was a single comment made on the Fox News outlet that beat all.

When questioned by news commentator Bill O'Reilly on the Factor Nov 24, 2009 about the propriety of the act, Lis Wiehl said that she thought it was all OK as long as it was done between the hours of 10:pm and 6:am. She explained that this was the time for anything that was indecent or profane on public television. She made the distinction that it should not be allowed during that time if it was deemed "obscene."

If you are convinced that no underage children are awake and watching TV after 10:pm and that the rest of America has the savvy to weigh the semantic differences between "indecent" and "obscene" then all that's left is to ask is, does it have any morally redemptive quality for the rest of us?

Even the meek and lowly Jesus was not naïve about the fact that evil would have its day. Christ said "…it must needs be that offences come" and then he appendaged this overtly negative proclamation with the following "but woe to that man by whom the offence cometh!" (Mt 18:7)

A day of "evil" is prophesied to sweep the entire world before Christ sets his feet on this old terrestrial ball again but that in no way indicates that it is either welcome or necessary. The inevitability of offences was covered by the Ancient Son of King David in the book of Ecclesiastes where Solomon said "To every thing there is a season." (Ec 3:1)

There is also a time and a season for the faithful to stand and be counted, to act on their faith and to proclaim the everlasting gospel in spite of resistance, ridicule or rejection. Perhaps among the news coming out of Christendom of late the Manhattan Declaration can be added to the war cry of the faithful even as other ministries around the world are taken on new initiatives to resist the spread of spiritual anarchy and wickedness in high places.

The document is the result of major Catholic and Evangelical leaders getting together to reaffirm what is considered to be just and Godly in America. It speaks for the sanctity of human life, the dignity of marriage in a union of one man and one woman and the right to have and retain one of America's most fundamental liberties, the right to religious freedom.

About 40 of the most well known religious figures in the country have signed the document and others have begun to join suit with 126,863 signatures to date. A notable dissenter is John MacArthur of Grace to You ministries who explains his reason for not signing the declaration.

What MacArthur said in Shepherds' Fellowship posted Nov 24, 2009 was "Although I obviously agree with the document's opposition to same-sex marriage, abortion, and other key moral problems threatening our culture, the document falls far short of identifying the one true and ultimate remedy for all of humanity's moral ills: the gospel. The gospel is barely mentioned in the Declaration. At one point the statement rightly acknowledges, "It is our duty to proclaim the Gospel of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in its fullness, both in season and out of season"- and then adds an encouraging wish: "May God help us not to fail in that duty." Yet the gospel itself is nowhere presented (much less explained) in the document or any of the accompanying literature. Indeed, that would be a practical impossibility because of the contradictory views held by the broad range of signatories regarding what the gospel teaches and what it means to be a Christian."

I can offer no argument for MacArthur's dissent and in fact I agree with him. Perhaps I along with others think the declaration was not meant to be an instrument of evangelism but only a declaration of the position of those already evangelized. Although it is not irrefutable proof when the positions the declaration proclaims are examined in the light of Christ's warning that Christians will be known by the fruit they produce (Mt 7:16) it becomes difficult to think of anyone standing up for what is outlined in the document if they were not "born again." In fact only a bit of polling is needed to see that just about the only people left in America who are holding to these beliefs are people who have understood and responded to the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Many young Bible Students and seminarians have wrestled with the question put forth by their professors', "If you are supposed to turn the other cheek as Christ said, then, what should you do if they slap the other cheek?" Do you recoil, run away or stand up and proclaim your rights? In this nation we still have rights and religious freedom is one of them. The indiscriminate Christian bashing and attacks, the flagrant disregard for human life and immorality unleashed like a torrent of filthy waste water must be answered and those who do answer and condemn it are well within their rights.

We must never forget that one day the gospel and the Bible in its entirety will no longer be proclaimed at all. After that there is only one thing left and that is called judgment. It too has a time and a season and it is nearer than you think.

Solomon who so poetically described the endless ebb and flow of all things in their respective time and place also warned, "He, that being often reproved hardeneth his neck, shall suddenly be destroyed, and that without remedy. When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn. Proverbs 29:1, 2
