WILL OBAMA BURN THE REICHSTAG?

BY JOHN JAMES KIRKWOOD

A scandal ridden White House, not used to being called out, will not sit idle awaiting subpoenas to fall like ticker tape.  A desperate despot doesn't do "damage control", he burns the Reichstag and blames it on the Tea Party; he burns Rome and blames it on the Christians.  And those who know history and know the Chicago way are already looking for the smoke.

WHERE THERE'S SMOKE …

For Catholics, when the smoke rises they've chosen a pope; for Marxists, they've chosen a scapegoat.  Some lackey or some diversion that will give the press the narrative that they so desire: "these things were somewhat important but now the nation needs the President's full attention to deal with this latest crisis and furthermore, Eric Holder, Steven Miller, Lois Lerner, "put name here" has been let go, relieved of duty or fired.  Nothing to see here, go back to your homes."

WAVING THE FALSE FLAG FOR THE WAGGING DOG

The question is, "what will it be?"  Boots on the ground in Syria, domestic terror, amnesty for 12 million Muslim refugees, an attempt on the President's life; there are a myriad of guesses floating around but prophecy is above my pay grade.  I just know that either the dog will be wagged or the flag will be false.  Deception and obfuscation are the tyrants default settings.

While the lapdog press is taking a temporary moment away from the footsie they play with Obama's lieutenants, there's a chorus from Illinois singing, "I told you so."  After all, Obama is a product of the machine and immediately following his coronation he brought his capos to the beltway: Axelrod, Emanuel, Valerie Jarrett and Michele.

Oh slap Glenn Beck on the back for turning out Van Jones as a raving communist, but does anyone really think that Valerie Jarrett is any less of a radical?  Rahm Emanuel, the nine-fingered ballerina who uses Pandora's box as a Rolodex is the most likely suspect in 2 of the 3 current scandals.  As William J. Kelly noted in his column in theWashington Times, "Threats and intimidation, investigating political enemies, secretly recording reporters – that is Emanuel's modus operandi – and it is a practice that he has continued in Chicago … When Rahm said, 'The First Amendment is highly overrated,' he wasn't kidding."

And we'd be foolish to think that David Axelrod isn't combing through provisional war plans and reaching for the winged monkeys golden cap as you read this!  If the A.P. were a man with a divorce record, that scandal would never have seen the light of day.

While the rest of the country is frozen in jaw-dropping shock that an administration could be capable of such villainy, the resistance is readying to fix bayonets.  They know what's coming from Obama and his henchmen and it's never the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth.  A crew whose main play is to get sealed records unsealed, then have the "free press" slime their opponents with the info, is not going to simply fall on the sword when caught.  If you're from Chicago, you've heard this tune before and the second verse, same as the first.

THE CRISIS THAT MATTERS MOST

The A.P. Scandal?  Not hardly!  A mere bump in the road as the President would say.

Oh sure it's illegal and those that perpetrated it are downright evil, but Tony Montana wasn't the worlds greatest boyfriend either.  And what did he say when confronted with the news that his crack whore girlfriend was upset with him?  "Another Quaalude, and she'll be mine again."

We're talking about the Associated Press here.  This is the equivalent of a boyfriend embarrassing his date at a dinner party by pointing out in front of the whole room that she has a piece of lettuce stuck in her teeth: she'll blush, maybe even storm out to the car but a woman who wants to hear something from her abuser will hang around until she hears it.

And that will be the Obama response to the press having its panties in a bunch?  The press wants to be wooed by King Arthur and just as Mrs. Bryant got over her Kobe's backdoor infidelity upon eyeing the $4 million dollar carrot on the end of her finger, so will the Mainstream Tabernacle Choir.  The battered wife rarely presses charges.

Well then, what about the IRS, that's serious?  It is, but not for the President.  He has plausible deniability in both the AP and the IRS scandals.  Or are you still waiting for the DOJ to bring charges against Bill and Hillary for "mishandling" 700+ FBI files that just happened to be all conservatives?  Low-level heads will roll and if it really gets bad then maybe, just maybe, the President accepts Eric Holder's resignation but they won't ultimately matter in the way that Benghazi will.  I'm not saying don't pursue them; I'm glad to see some semblance of an opposition party actually calling for that little used thing called justice but I am saying that Benghazi cannot be pushed aside or "massaged" away.

The best thing that the IRS and AP scandals will produce is a weakening of the Obama administrations Immune system.  Now pray for Benghazi fever.

THAT'S NOT MY DOG

The administration knows that their real Achilles heel is Benghazi and they will try to say that it's a political witch-hunt and when that doesn't stick they'll try to make it about mere incompetence: negligence not nefariousness.  If it is true that Benghazi was botched because the administration was trying to keep the lid on their gunrunning to Syria, you could almost understand what happened that night.  Instead of green-lighting a rescue, the prominent people involved were probably calling in their markers with the complicit on the other end of the bargain and asking for them to "call off the dogs."

Imagine their surprise when reality collided with their worldview and they realized that a couple of phone calls couldn't stop the assault.  The voice on the White House hotline says in frustration, "I thought your dog don't bite" only to hear on the other end, "these are not our dogs."  Either way, it's hard to imagine that the Clouseau defense will hold water and this is not something that the President can lay at the feet of subordinates.  There are two main issues here and several others that have the capacity to blow up.

Blame Hillary is not an option. The Secretary of State is only liable for the lack of security at the facility and that may be enough to sink her future aspirations but it won't be enough to excuse this President of the dereliction of his duty.  While Hillary is stuck with the lack of security and the lack of foresight for the need of special attention on a significant date, only the Executive branch is tied to the stand down orders, the relieving of Generals and Admirals who differed with those orders and the five day You tube cover-up.

Benghazi is the silver bullet; now unleash the dogs of war!
