Rep. John Boehner's Tan

"I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character." -- Martin Luther King, Jr.

It is ironic that the first African-American President, the one who promised us a post-racial America, and the virtually closed-circuit liberal television network MSNBC agree on a single criticism of House Minority Leader John Boehner (R-Ohio). John Boehner is tanned.I don't know how he does it whether he uses a tanning bed or some sort of tanning lotion but every month of the year he is tan. I don't really think about it that much but apparently the President and his cheering section at "the place for politics" do.

The recent stories on the reemergence of the cast of the pointless TV show "Jersey Shore" presented liberals with an opportunity to raise the all-important "tan" criticism of Boehner because, shockingly enough, people on the New Jersey show also are tanned.

I am puzzled that so many liberals think the color of John Boehner's skin is something worthy of criticism or even discussion. But right after extensive coverage of the NAACP's and the Obama Administration's mistreatment of the USDA official the libs slide right back into talking about Boehner's tan.

Of course, Boehner ignores all of this which is exactly what the rest of the country does but the Obaminables and the reclusive MSNBC "stars" persist.

Dr. King was right. Race is irrelevant. The color of someone's skin has absolutely nothing to do with who they are or "the content of their character."

But the Obama White House comes up short when it tries to write anti-GOP talking points and the isolated people at MSNBC see no one but their inner-circle of tired and disproven liberals.

They should read Dr. King because he was right about the irrelevance of skin color. Come to think of it their preoccupation with Boehner's tan might explain why so few Americans can imagine a second Obama term or a reason to watch MSNBC.
