December 11, 2009 – President Obama’s Department of Defense has hired an Islamist named Louay Safi to teach soldiers at Fort Hood, Texas about Islam before they deploy to Afganistan.
Safi is a top official with the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA), an organization that has links to Hamas and was named as an unindicted co-conspirator by the Justice Department in the Holy Land Foundation terrorism trial!
Writing in a 2003 publication, Safi noted: “The war against the apostates [non-believers of Islam] is carried out not to force them to accept Islam, but to enforce the Islamic law and maintain order."
ISNA was founded in 1981 to enable Muslims in the U.S. to “adopt Islam as a complete way of life.” In addition, ISNA is the Muslim Brotherhood’s umbrella organization in America. The Muslim Brotherhood seeks the destruction of American democracy and the imposition of Shariah law!
The Islamic Society of North America (ISNA), a known Hamas front group, includes Louay Safi, a known Muslim Brother -- whose stated objective is to "destroy (America) from within" and wage “civilization jihad” against us -- is giving instruction at Ft. Hood to our troops. In the wake of the jihad against 13 Americans only a few weeks ago at Ft. Hood, this is an outrage.
The prosecutors in the Holy Land Foundation (HLF) trial in Dallas, Texas last year -- the largest terrorism financing trial in U.S. history – stated that the HLF was the largest Hamas front in America to date:
"ISNA and NAIT, in fact, shared more with HLF than just a parent organization. They were intimately connected with the HLF and its assigned task of providing financial support to Hamas...The US Muslim Brotherhood created the US Palestinian Committees, which documents reflect were initially comprised of three organizations: the OLF (HLF), the IAP, and the UASR. CAIR was later added to these organizations...the mandate of these organizations, per the International Brotherhood, was to support Hamas."
“Why on earth would Defense Department officials invite an official of an organization linked to Islamic terrorism to teach American soldiers about Islam,” asked TVC Executive Director Andrea Lafferty. “This is like having an active member of the Nazi Storm Troopers during World War II teach American GIs about National Socialism and Adolf Hitler. This is outrageous and subverts our brave soldiers who are going to war.”
Safi was caught on a 1995 FBI wiretap speaking to Sami al-Arian, the Florida university professor who was convicted of raising funds for terrorist groups overseas. During their conversation, Safi discussed his concern that President Clinton’s executive order prohibiting financial transactions with terrorist groups might impact al-Arian’s work.
Safi should be fired and those who hired him should be reprimanded for permitting him to teach American soldiers about Islam.
